Particle animations made in Blender.

Personal project.

This project consists of reinterpretations of Rothko's Red on Red and Malevich's White on White, recreated through particle animation in Blender. Inspired by ideas on digital imagery, I explore the notion that digital images, unlike photographs or paintings, are not truly static; they consist of constantly refreshed data, appearing still on screen yet inherently dynamic and open to modification. I'm also fascinated by the process of creating art, the sequencing of brushstrokes, choices about where to begin, and decisions on layering. In these works, the re-creations of the original pieces emerge gradually as particles are emitted and interact with physical forces to position themselves in ways that resemble the iconic artworks. Once formed, the particles continue to move subtly under these forces, creating a jittering effect that underscores their dynamic, evolving nature.
